Mountain Oak Campground

Mountain Oak Campground is located in the Angeles National Forest near Wrightwood, CA at an elevation of 6,200-6,400 feet in the San Gabriel Mountains. The single-loop campground has 17 campsites in a forest of large pine trees with ground cover of pine needles and leaves. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs with parking spurs ranging from 24 to 38 feet. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, bear-proof food containers, trash collection, and a camp host on-site offering firewood for sale. The campground provides lots of shade but minimal privacy between neighboring sites. The campground is typically open mid-May to mid-November. Nearby attractions include Jackson Lake, the Pacific Crest Trail, and Mountain High Resort. The area is close to Wrightwood (about 5 miles) for supplies.
