Free dispersed camping area along Old Highway 89 east of Zion National Park near Mount Carmel, Utah. Managed by Utah BLM, Kanab Field Office. Vehicle-accessible with large open areas suitable for tents and RVs. No amenities: no drinking water, toilets, or trash service. Campfires allowed. Pets welcome. Popular for visitors to Zion National Park, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, and Parunuweap Canyon. Access via Highway 9 from the south; roads can be muddy when wet. BLM Road 1620 suitable for medium to large trailers; other spur roads (1625, 1630) require 4WD and high clearance.
