Mormon Flat Campground
About this site
Mormon Flat is a primitive group campground in East Canyon State Park, accommodating 50-75 people. It is available by reservation only. Access via Jeremy Ranch Road off Highway 65; the road is compacted dirt, accessible in winter but not recommended for two-wheel drive vehicles. Vault restrooms are open April through November. Water is not available on site. A four-mile trail from the campground leads to Big Mountain on Highway 65 along the Mormon Pioneer National Historic Trail. Features remnants of Fort Wells, a Mormon stronghold built in 1857, suitable for hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. Additional Info: Cost: $75 per night.
