About this site

Free, first-come-first-served camping area near Houston, BC along the Morice River. The site features three trails: Birch Ridge Trail (1.5 km through recovering cut block and paper birch groves), River Banks Trail (following the Morice River with cottonwood forest), and a third trail through the area. The landscape is primarily Black Cottonwood flood ecosystem with rare old-growth stands. Parking area and basic camping available. Watch for bears and cattle in summer months. Cell coverage available.
