Moose Creek Flat Campground is located on the Bozeman Ranger District of the Custer Gallatin National Forest, 32 miles south of Bozeman, Montana. The campground sits next to the Gallatin River near Moose Creek, just off Highway 191, at an elevation of 5,700 feet. The 13-site campground features paved roads with gravel parking spurs. Most campsites are in open meadows along the river. The campground is nestled in a forest of pine and fir trees covering the surrounding mountainsides. Amenities include vault toilets, drinking water, trash collection, picnic tables, and campfire rings. Four sites are handicapped accessible. Some sites are suitable for RVs, with the largest parking spur being 20 feet by 60 feet. Firewood is available for purchase. A variety of wildlife inhabits the scenic canyon, including bald eagles, bighorn sheep, moose, elk, mountain goats, deer, coyotes, and black and grizzly bears. Pets are allowed on leash. The campground is typically open from mid-May to mid-September, weather dependent. Some sites are reserved and some are first-come-first-served. Daily fee: $20 (includes 2 cars or RV/Trailer and tow vehicle; additional vehicles $9 each).
