About this site

Miracle Rock is a BLM recreation site located near Glade Park, Colorado, featuring a small camping area with four family campsites. The site is named for an 84-foot tall massive balancing boulder perched on a narrow base, a geologically significant attraction accessible via a moderately steep, roughly half-mile hike from the trailhead. The campground includes picnic tables and fire pits but has no potable water on-site; visitors must bring all water needed for drinking, cooking, and cleaning. There are no RV hookups, and RV access is limited. A restroom is available. The site is managed by the BLM with a stay limit of up to 14 days. Wildlife hazards include black bears and mountain lions. Located at approximately 6,600 feet elevation, the area offers views of the Little Dolores River valley and is near the Colorado National Monument and McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area.
