Millerton Lake Campground

Millerton Lake State Recreation Area is a multiuse recreation area located on the north shore of Millerton Lake near Friant, California, spanning Fresno and Madera counties. The campground features 138 sites for tents and RVs up to 31 feet long, plus two group sites. Facilities include fire grills, picnic tables, piped water, flush toilets, quarter-operated showers ($0.25 per minute, 2-minute minimum), and a sanitary dump station. The lake offers over 40 miles of shoreline with three boat launch ramps, popular for boating, fishing, swimming, and water sports. Most camp loops are open April–September; Meadows Loop and Group Camps operate year-round. The region features a temperate climate with warm to hot summers and cool winters. Firewood must be brought by campers; gathering and purchase are not available. Leashed pets are permitted. Walk-ins are welcome subject to availability.
