The Mikesell-Potts Recreation Area is a county-owned facility on the south shore of Lake DeSmet, 8 miles north of Buffalo, WY off I-90 exit 51. Offers over 60 first-come, first-served overnight camping spots including 8 with electricity. Fees paid on honor system: $20/night with electricity, $15/night without. Amenities include 4 restrooms (1 year-round), 2 boat ramps, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and picnic areas. No potable water or dump station.
