Natural Features Midland Campground sits at 9,500' elevation, along the Fraser River as it runs from its source near Berthoud Pass to its confluence with the Colorado River. Nearby trailheads and 4x4 roads provide access to Jim Creek, as well as the west side of historic Rollins Pass. The summit of Berthoud Pass provides further scenery and trail access. Afternoon thunderstorms can be expected during spring and summer months. Nearby Attractions Grocery shopping and restaurants are available in towns of Winter Park and Fraser. The Arapaho National Recreation Area and western portal of Rocky Mountain National Park are within an hour's drive. Additional Info: This minimally developed group campground accommodates up to 36 people and is located next to the Fraser River near Winter Park. The campground is well shaded. Vault toilets are available; potable water is not available. Dogs must be on a hand-held leash. Elevation is 9,400 feet. Located on the east side of US Highway 40, 4.5 miles south of Winter Park.
