About this site
Plum Creek Campground offers free established camping in Lake Meredith National Recreation Area. There are four camping areas on the southwest side of the lake off FM 1913, popular for hiking, horseback riding, birding, and wildlife watching. Features include picnic tables, shade shelters, grills, vault toilets, horse corrals, and water troughs. No drinking water or flush toilets available. Devil's Canyon Trail is suitable for beginner to experienced riders, hikers, and bikers. The area has cottonwood trees providing shade. Additional Info: Free first-come, first-served camping with no reservations. Pull-through sites available. Pets allowed. Fires permitted. Trash service provided. Leave No Trace principles apply.
