It is part of the 130-acre Melville Ponds Recreation Area off West Main Road on Bradford Ave, featuring a nine-pond waterway, marsh areas, hiking trails, and fishing ponds. The campground offers spacious campsites for RVs and tents, with amenities including clean comfort stations with complimentary hot showers, picnic tables and fire rings at each site, full-hookup campsites with 30-amp electric service, dumping station, playground, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, open grassy area, open air pavilion, shaded and level sites, fishing, and ice and firewood for purchase. It is 5 miles from historic Newport and the ocean.
