Melakwa Lake Backcountry Camping
About this site
Backcountry camping area at Melakwa Lake in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest within Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The lake features clear green water with views of Bryant Peak from the east and Chair Peak from the northeast. Established campsites are available on either side of the lake. Access is via the Denny Creek Trail (8.5 miles roundtrip, 2,700 feet elevation gain) or from Pratt Lake Trail. A latrine is located on the west side of the lake. Northwest Forest Pass required. Dogs must be on leash. Wilderness regulations apply.
