Meat Cove Campground is located at the northern tip of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, surrounded by jagged cliffs, valleys of connected mountains, and panoramic ocean views. The campground features 30 unserviced campsites supplied with picnic tables, fire pits, and grills, as well as four wilderness cabins and a 3-bedroom chalet. Amenities include a shower house with hot running water, flush toilets, fresh drinking water, free WiFi, firewood, and an oceanside chowder hut. Activities include kayak rentals, hiking and biking trails, swimming, whale watching, and wildlife viewing (bald eagles, moose). The campground is open seasonally beginning June 1st and operates on a first-come, first-served basis at $40+ per night.
