MCMILLEN (Campground) Additional Info: McMillen Campground is a small, free developed campground in a riparian area surrounded by tall conifers in Gila National Forest. Cherry Creek runs in front of the campground. The campground is cool in summer and scenic in fall with golden aspen, rustic scrub oaks, and bright red sumac vines. Located 15 miles north of Silver City on NM Highway 15, east side. Elevation 6,967 feet. Year-round access. 14-day stay limit. Pets must be leashed. OHV, ATVs, hunting, and shooting prohibited.
