McKenzie Bay Recreation Area is located on Lake Sakakawea near Mandaree, North Dakota. The 376-acre camping area offers primitive sites, electrical and water hookup sites, and 4 cabins. Amenities include showers, bathrooms, a clubhouse/store, fish cleaning station, 2 boat ramps, RV dump station, and camper and boat storage. The area is open early May through late September, weather permitting. Nearby campers can explore scenic views of Lake Sakakawea and its recreational opportunities.
