McDonald Creek Provincial Park is located on the shores of Upper Arrow Lake, 16 km south of Nakusp on Highway 6 in the West Kootenays. The park encompasses 468 hectares and features 112 vehicle-accessible campsites, including 18 electrified sites with 20, 30, and 50 AMP service. Many sites are lakefront with direct beach access; 32 campsites have direct beach access. The campground offers a mix of small to large sites suitable for tents and RVs. Amenities include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, a coin-operated sani-station with RV dump, boat launch, playground, day-use picnic area, and a 2 km nature trail leading to McDonald Creek. Campfires are allowed and pets are welcome on leash. The park is open year-round weather permitting, with the campground operating April to September. Reservations are available May 1 to September 29 through BC Parks (800-689-9025 or camping.bcparks.ca). Base camping fee is $30 per party/night; electrified sites are an additional $7/night.
