About this site
Rustic state forest campground with 20 sites on McCollum Lake, including 3 walk-in tent-only sites and 11 sites accommodating up to 40-ft vehicle trailers. Features vault toilets, potable drinking water from hand-pump well, fire rings, picnic tables, small picnic area, and adjacent boat launch for fishing pike, bass, walleye, and panfish. First-come, first-served with no reservations or electrical hookups; overnight fee $20 for most sites; 15-day maximum stay; Recreation Passport required for vehicle entry. Provides access to state land for hunting and nearby Au Sable River. Additional Info: Sites available on first-come, first-served basis. One camping unit and six people per site. Managed by Clinton Township.
