Operated by the state park despite being on state forest land. Additional Info: 3 backcountry campsites and 1 group campsite around Mattaponi Ponds in Pocomoke State Forest. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. No restrooms or running water. Backcountry sites require a hike of at least 0.5 miles from parking. Reservations by calling Pocomoke River State Park.
