Masse Homestead
About this site
Masse Homestead is a backcountry campground in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore at the base of the dunes along the North Country Trail. It includes three individual sites for 1-6 people (max 2 tents/hammocks each) and a group site, all close together with one shared fire ring. No water access; bring all water. Open pit toilet available. Bear-resistant food storage boxes provided. Camp within 15 feet of numbered site post. Reservations required via Recreation.gov. Additional Info: Access by hiking only (no vehicle access). Fires allowed only in provided metal fire ring using dead/down wood. Pets allowed. Nearest water at Lake Superior (2.5 miles west) or Grand Sable Lake (2.5 miles east). Approximately 5 miles from Grand Sable Visitor Center.
