Martins Dairy Horse Camp
About this site
Martin's Dairy Horse Camp is a dedicated equestrian campground located one quarter mile north of the main Martin's Dairy Campground in Klamath National Forest. The facility offers 4 first-come, first-served campsites, each with its own small adjoining corral designed to hold one horse. A shared water tank in the middle provides watering for horses. The camp sits near the scenic Little Shasta River at approximately 6,000 feet elevation, adjacent to the Little Shasta Meadow Botanical Area which features both dry and wet high elevation meadows, stands of quaking aspen, and Greene's mariposa lily. The campground enforces strict rules to protect the sensitive meadow environment: horses must not be tied to trees or corral rails, must be kept away from the creek, and are not allowed to graze in the meadow.
