Maples Campground
About this site
Maples Campground is a dispersed walk-in camping area in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest north of Snowbasin Resort near Ogden, Utah. The former developed campground no longer exists; all picnic tables, fire rings, and restrooms have been removed. The public may still camp in the area but must camp away from the trail that goes through the site. Access is walk-in, bicycle, or horse only—no motor vehicles. The area is approximately 0.5 mile from the gate at the lower Snowbasin parking lot via a gravel trail. No potable water or restroom facilities are available. Campfires are not recommended due to potential fire hazard in nearby trees.
