Maple Grove Campground
About this site
Nice BLM-managed lakeside campground. Small, less than 20 sites. Well-maintaned latrines and friendly camp hosts. No water or dumpsters, so you carry out what you carry in. Quick access to the lake, which means quick access for mosquitoes as well. It's very busy on weekends, so I strongly recommend getting there before noon on Fridays. We got there about midday on a Wednesday and had our choice of spots. Quick access to hot springs and the river below the damn. Additional Info: The campground has 12 developed sites with picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, horseshoe pits, and a boat ramp with dock. First-come, first-served basis with no online reservation system. 14-day camping limit within a 28-day period. Pets must be on leash at all times.
