Maple Bay State Forest Campground

Maple Bay State Forest Campground is a rustic campground located on the west side of Burt Lake, four miles east of Brutus via East Brutus Road and Maple Bay Road. It offers 35 wooded and private sites suitable for tents, small trailers, and large trailers, with excellent boat access, a sandy shoreline, boat launch, and day-use areas. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. No electrical hookups available. Sites are first-come, first-served with no reservations; overnight fee $20 for most sites; maximum 15-day stay; one unit and six people per site. Additional Info: Camping provides access to state land open to hunting (firearm hunting not allowed within 450 feet of occupied dwellings). Burt Lake offers fishing for panfish, bass, pike, walleye, muskie, perch, and trout.
