premiere campground on the Ochlockonee River, no electric Additional Info: Mack Landing is a quiet, primitive camping area located on a ridge overlooking the Ochlockonee River within the Apalachicola National Forest. The campground features approximately 10 campsites that can accommodate both tents and RVs, with no electrical hookups. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring situated under a canopy of tall trees. Access to the Ochlockonee River is available via a concrete boat ramp, popular with boaters and anglers. Basic amenities include well water and vault toilets. A camp host is present from October through March. The campground serves as a hunt camp during general gun season; non-hunters may camp during this period but should be aware of hunting activity. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The normal 14-day camping limit is not in effect during general gun season.
