Maccarib Campground is a backcountry site in Tonquin Valley, Jasper National Park. Nestled in the trees but with excellent views. Features basic facilities including picnic tables, bear boxes for food storage, and pit toilets. Accessible only by hiking from Portal trailhead (18.3 km). Requires advance backcountry permit reservation. Additional Info: Part of the Tonquin Valley Trail network with dramatic mountain range and alpine backdrops.
