Luzerne Horse Trail Campground

Luzerne Horse Trail Campground is a free, first-come first-served equestrian campground and trailhead in Huron-Manistee National Forest, serving the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Horse Trail. It features access to the Big Creek/Luzerne boardwalk through a cedar swamp ecosystem, open to both hikers and horseback riders. The site has a spacious parking lot for trucks with horse trailers (30 vehicle capacity), ten single campsites, and one group site. Vault toilets are available April 1 through November 30; potable water availability confirmed by USFS. Open year-round but unplowed in winter with no winter facilities.
