Lower Onion Creek Campground is located along the banks of the Colorado River approximately 22 miles east of Moab via Highway 128. The campground offers 21 individual first-come first-served sites (up to 10 people and 2 vehicles each) at $20/night cash/check, plus 3 reservable group sites (A, B, C) for 15-30 people each. Facilities include vault toilets, fire grates, picnic tables, shade shelters at group sites, and two boat ramps. No water, dump stations, or hookups available. Popular for river access, rafting launches, hiking, and nearby 4WD roads. Gusty winds possible; secure gear. Wildlife active; store food properly. Additional Info: Sites accessible by drive-in, walk-in from parking, and boat-in. Near Fisher Towers with views of red rock canyons and La Sal Mountains.
