Lower Improved Campground
About this site
Lower Improved Campground at Cheaha State Park features 32 full hookup RV sites and improved tent camping areas. All sites include 20, 30, and 50 amp electrical service with water and sewer hookups, picnic table, and fire ring or grill. The campground has a bathhouse with hot water, showers, and flush toilets. Located near Cheaha Lake, the campground is surrounded by forested terrain with rolling hills. Nearby attractions include Cheaha Mountain, the highest point in Alabama, and several hiking trails within the state park. The Lower Campground is open April to December.
