Lower Crystal Lake Camp

Lower Crystal Lake Camp is a designated wilderness backpacking site in Mount Rainier National Park accessible via the Crystal Lakes Trail. The trail begins at the Crystal Lakes Trailhead on SR 410, approximately 4 miles north of Cayuse Pass. The first 1.5 miles climbs through forest on switchbacks with views of Mount Rainier and Crystal Peak. Lower Crystal Lake has two designated campsites. Permits are required for camping. Fires are prohibited. Water must be treated before drinking. The trailhead is typically accessible from May through mid-November when SR 410 is open. No restrooms are available at the trailhead; the closest restrooms are at the White River Entrance, 1.8 miles away.
