Long Lake Dispersed Camping is a free, dispersed camping area in Coconino National Forest near Happy Jack, Arizona. Located approximately 17 miles off the main highway, the area offers vehicle-accessible dispersed campsites near Long Lake. Multiple campsites are available on both sides of Forest Roads 9716R, 9724D, and FR 82. The area features basic amenities including toilets and fire rings, with a 14-day camping limit. The landscape transitions from dense forest to open plains with expansive mountain views toward Flagstaff. Several campsites are situated close to the water, and a parking area with boat ramp is available on the southern end. The area can be windy, and cell service is limited.
