Little Paint Creek Campground

Little Paint Creek Campground is a primitive campground located in the Paint Creek Unit of Yellow River State Forest near Harpers Ferry, Iowa. The campground is built around Little Paint Creek, providing access to trout fishing and creek activities. Sites feature picnic tables and fire rings but have no electric hookups or drinking water at the campground (water is available at the A-frame information center approximately four miles away on State Forest Road). Amenities include pit toilets and trash bins. The area offers 25 miles of hiking trails, equestrian trails, and scenic overlooks. Cell service is spotty. Nightly rate is $12 per site.
