Little Harbor Campground is a backcountry campground located on the backside of Catalina Island in a beautiful cove. The site features 23 campsites with fire pits and picnic tables, all within a short walk of the beach. Amenities include potable drinking water, vault toilets, showers, and firewood available for purchase. Campsites have chemical toilets and critter boxes for food storage. Many sites feature awnings and shade structures. The campground is accessible only by hiking approximately 5.64 miles (3-5 hours) from Two Harbors via the Trans-Catalina Trail. Reservations are required year-round and can be made through Reserve America or by calling Two Harbors Visitor Service Center at 310-510-4205. Check-in is at 2 PM and checkout at 11 AM. Dogs are allowed at the campground but not on the Trans-Catalina Trail. The area is ideal for backpacking, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, and wildlife viewing.
