Lick Fork Lake
About this site
Lick Fork Lake Recreation Area is often described as one of the lesser known "jewels of the forest." The nine campsites and 12-acre lake surrounded by dense woods provide visitors with a quiet place to relax and easy access to a variety of outdoor activities. Highlights include an accessible fishing pier and a boat ramp for non-motorized boats. The Lick Fork Lake Hiking Trail is an easy two mile loop surrounding the lake that provides scenic views of piedmont pines and hardwoods. Horn Creek Trail journeys away from the recreation area and allows hikers and bikers to explore more of the forest. Campsites are first come, first served with a 14-day stay limit. A porta-toilet is available as well as restrooms in the campground area. Potable water is not available on-site. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required to fish on the national forests. Shooting is not permitted within 300 yards of the recreation area. Open year-round.
