Dispersed boondocking sites along Forest Road 904 in LBJ National Grasslands, with 4-5 primitive campsites including a loop on a ridge. Some sites accommodate RVs. No amenities, electricity, or water hookups. Surrounded by open fields, oak trees, and grasslands with cattle grazing. Managed by U.S. Forest Service; other areas along the road are blocked off. Additional Info: Free first-come, first-served primitive camping on federal land. Fires allowed with makeshift rings at some sites. Abundant wildlife including deer and birds. Nearby trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Pack in all supplies including water.
