Lava Flow Campground

Lava Flow Campground is a 42-site campground in Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve, located on Loop Road a quarter mile past the visitor center. It offers first-come, first-served sites accessible by vehicle from May through November depending on weather, with some sites accommodating large RVs up to 100 feet but no hookups. Amenities include pit or vault toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, fire grills (charcoal fires allowed, no wood fires), food storage lockers, and trash service. Site 34 is accessible with an electrical outlet for medical use. During winter, hike-in snow camping is permitted with a free visitor center permit. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 6 am.
