LAUTERMAN LAKE (Campground) Additional Info: Lauterman National Recreation Area features five primitive walk-in or canoe-in campsites along the shores of 37-acre Lauterman Lake in Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Each site includes a tent pad, picnic table, fire ring, and wilderness-style toilet. Sites are first-come, first-served with no reservations or fees. Access is via short hike (3/4 to 1.5 miles) from parking areas off Highway 70 west of Florence, WI. The area offers fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and access to the Lauterman National Recreation Trail for hiking, biking, and skiing.
