Lantis Spring Campground

About this site

Lantis Spring Campground is located on the Custer Gallatin National Forest in southeast Montana near the South Dakota border. At an elevation of 6,000 feet, the campground features 4 individual campsites and 2 group sites, all available on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. The campground has accessible vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own water or treat water from the spring. There is a 16-day stay limit. Access is weather-dependent and winter conditions may prevent entry during snow events. Additional Info: Situated in the Long Pines Unit of the Sioux Ranger District, about 5 miles north off Tie Creek Road.
