Langohr Campground
About this site
Langohr Campground is located in scenic Hyalite Canyon on the Bozeman Ranger District of the Custer Gallatin National Forest, 12 miles south of Bozeman, Montana. The campground sits next to Hyalite Creek at an elevation of 6,200 feet. The 19 individual campsites are positioned in open meadows along the creek, with some nestled among scattered pine and fir trees. Each site includes a picnic table and campfire ring. Facilities include vault toilets, potable water, and trash collection. Two sites are ADA accessible. The surrounding area offers many outdoor recreational opportunities, including fishing for Yellowstone cutthroat, Arctic grayling and brook trout, hiking, and climbing. Firewood is available for purchase at $8 per bundle. Standard camping fees are $26 per night (includes two vehicles); additional vehicles are $9 each. A group picnic area (Site 20) for day use only is also available and can accommodate up to 50 people. The campground is managed by Rocky Mountain Recreation Company and operates from May 16 through September 30, with limited service from October 1 through December 1. Hyalite Canyon Road is closed to motorized use annually from April 1 through May 16.
