Lake Sylvia Recreation Area is nestled between scenic pine and oak-clad mountains in the northeast corner of the Ouachita National Forest, featuring an 18-acre lake for swimming and fishing, 38 miles west of Little Rock. The campground offers 14 sites with water and electric hookups, primitive tent sites, and seven camper cabins with bathrooms. Additional facilities include a swimming beach, bathhouses, playground, picnic sites, trails connecting to the Ouachita National Recreation Trail, and interpretive programming. Now managed by Arkansas State Parks. Additional Info: Park gates open at 6:30 a.m. and close one hour after sunset. Open year-round.
