Lake Spaulding Campground sits at 5,000 feet on the shore of a clear alpine reservoir in the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Nevada City, California. The campground features 25 campsites, with 13 walk-in tent sites nestled among ponderosa pines. Basic amenities include vault toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, fire rings, and bear lockers. Showers are available. The forested setting offers hiking opportunities and the lake is ideal for kayaking and water sports. First come, first served; typically open mid-May through mid-October. Managed by PG&E.
