Lake Griffin State Park Campground
About this site
Lake Griffin State Park Campground offers 40 well-shaded campsites nestled in a mature live oak hammock near the shores of Lake Griffin, one of the nine lakes in the Harris Chain. Each site includes water and electric hookups, with seven sites offering full sewer hookups. The campground accommodates RVs up to 40 feet with seven pull-through sites, and features accessible facilities including concrete pad sites with accessible fire rings. Campers enjoy access to a half-mile nature trail leading to Florida's second-largest live oak tree, approximately 400 years old. The Dead River marsh provides excellent paddling opportunities through pristine wetlands teeming with wildlife including alligators, herons, anhingas, and ospreys. The park's boat ramp offers access to Lake Griffin's exceptional fishing for bass, crappie, and catfish. Additional Info: Most campsites are shaded and well-buffered. A dump station is available. Showers, restrooms and laundry facilities in the center of the campground are accessible. Well-behaved pets are allowed in the campground.
