About this site
Lake Elsina is a small (12.0 acres), shallow lake at 6,309 ft elevation in the Placid Creek drainage, Lolo National Forest (Seeley Lake Ranger District). It receives moderate use due to accessibility, with a small parking area, several campsites near the lake, and a trail along most of the shoreline. Access from US Highway 83 north of Seeley Lake via Boy Scout Road (USFS Road #77) to USFS Road #4349, then #465 west ~8 miles to the parking area adjacent to the lake. Closed to motorized watercraft except electric motors.
