Lake Dennison Recreation Area
About this site
Located in North Central Massachusetts in Otter River State Forest, Lake Dennison Recreation Area offers 151 wooded campsites, many on the shores of beautiful Lake Dennison, an 85-acre lake. The campground is part of the Army Corps of Engineers Birch Hill Flood Control Project and is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and grill. Facilities include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, and a dump station. There are no water or electric hookups at individual sites. The recreation area offers swimming, fishing, non-gas powered boating, hiking, and access to 50 miles of mountain biking trails in the adjacent Birch Hill Wildlife Management Area. Check-in is 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM; check-out is 11:00 AM. Advance reservations can be made same day until 2 PM on date of arrival.
