Not far from Cheaha State park is Lake Chinnabee Recreation Area. This 17-acre lake is tucked into a pastoral valley of peacefulness. Lake Chinnabee Recreation Area offers sanitary facilities, hiking, picnicking, fishing and the Chinnabee Silent Trail connects the campground to Cheaha Wilderness. Lake Chinnabee is an ideal spot to enjoy nature for daytime recreation. Fee info: Day Use: $3 per vehicle per day Group Site: $30 per day (1 - 40 people) Additional Info: Operates March 1 through December 1. First-come, first-served basis. 8 primitive campsites available. Vault toilets provided. No potable water or potable water available on site. No showers, electric, water, or sewer hookups.
