Lady's Slipper
About this site
Lady's Slipper Campground sits within Zippel Bay State Park on the southern shores of Lake of the Woods in Minnesota's far northwestern corner. As the closest campground to the lakeshore, it offers 11 non-electric campsites nestled among birch and aspen trees, providing a quiet, secluded camping experience. The campground is named after Minnesota's state flower, the showy lady's slipper orchid, which blooms in the area during early summer. This intimate loop is best suited for tent campers and those with small campers, as the sites and access roads are more compact than other campgrounds in the park. Campers enjoy easy access to the carry-in boat launch for kayaks and canoes, as well as proximity to two miles of white sand beach. The campground provides vault toilets and a hand pump for drinking water.
