La Monilla

La Monilla is a primitive campsite located in Big Bend Ranch State Park near Redford, Texas. The site rests in a small depression among rolling hills on the west side of the Bofecillos Mountains. It is a remote, rugged location ideal for experienced, self-sufficient campers. The park features 238 miles of multiuse trails, stunning desert landscapes with mountains and canyons, and access to the Rio Grande for fishing, floating, and water activities. The area is known for exceptional night skies and wildlife viewing opportunities, including over 300 bird species and animals such as mountain lions, mule deer, and bighorn sheep.
