Kokosing Campground
About this site
Kokosing Lake Campground, operated by Fredericktown Recreation District, is located about 15 minutes north of Mount Vernon and just west of Fredericktown, Ohio on Waterford Road. The campground offers 46 sites, partial and primitive hookup RV, tent camping, a large picnic area, playground, and a two-lane boat ramp. Most of the sites have electricity available. A shower house with flush toilets, ice, snacks, and firewood are available at the campground headquarters. Wildlife is abundant, and the 185-acre lake offers some great fishing. Hunters are also permitted during season. Additional Info: Reservations are only available in-person or by phone at 740-694-1900. The campground closes for the season on October 25, 2025.
