Klipchuck Campground

About this site

This forested campground is located along Early Winters Creek and has majestic trees with a stream and good hiking opportunities nearby. Access to the Driveway Butte Trail 481 is adjacent to the campground, and nearby Cedar Creek Trail 476 provides access to a short hike to a waterfall or longer hike beyond. Also a good base for other trails in the scenic highway corridor. Fee info: Overnight Use: Single Site: $20 per night Additional Vehicle Fee: $10 per vehicle per night Additional Info: First-come, first-served basis only. Digital payment required via Recreation.gov mobile app (cash/check not accepted). 12 campsites, open May through late October. Vault toilets, drinking water from hand pump, picnic tables, fire pits, and trash receptacles. Maximum 2 vehicles and 8 people per site, 14-day stay limit. Early Winters Creek closed to fishing. RVs and trailers up to 34 feet. Pets allowed. Located 1 mile off SR 20, 19 miles northwest of Winthrop.
