Killpecker Sand Dunes Open Play Area Campground

The campground is a 10 acre flat on the edge of the Killpecker Sand Dunes Open Play Area. It contains 2 ADA accessible vault toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables, spread throughout the flat for use as group sites. It is a non-fee area located about 32 miles north of Rock Springs, WY. Additional Info: Managed by BLM Rock Springs Field Office as part of the Greater Sand Dunes Area of Critical Environmental Concern. Access via County Road 4-17/Tri-Territory Loop Road, then Sand Dunes access road. Popular for OHV use in the Open Play Area; non-motorized activities permitted. Vehicles require safety flag and whip mast.
