Katahdin Esker Campsite
About this site
Esker Campsite is a backcountry primitive site in Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, located on the bank of Wassataquoik Stream. Hike or bike approximately 2.2 miles from the Wassataquoik Gate via a short and steep uneven dirt path. This campsite cannot be accessed directly by road. Pets must be on a leash of six feet or less at all times. No cell phone service. No potable water (bring a water filter). No trash service. Practice Leave No Trace principles and carry out everything you carry in, including all trash and food. Obtain firewood locally within 10 miles of your campsite.
